9 Belle Plaine High School Students Named 2026 CTE Scholars by KSDE
Belle Plaine High School is proud to announce that nine seniors have been recognized as 2026 Kansas Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholars by the Kansas State Department of Education.
These students have demonstrated outstanding dedication to their pathway by completing college coursework, gaining hands-on experience, and committing to service within their community. Eight of these students are part of the Early Childhood & Development pathway, where they gained hands-on experience working with children through our Dragon Daycare program, earned industry certifications, and completed coursework toward a certificate from Cowley College. We also have one student in the Media & Design pathway who has become industry prepared in graphic design, creating professional graphics, style guides, and marketing materials for the Fire Feed website.
To earn this recognition, students completed multiple advanced CTE courses within a pathway, maintained a 3.5+ GPA in their CTE coursework, demonstrated leadership and completed community service hours, and showed technical skill attainment in their area that prepares them for future careers.
These students will be recognized for their accomplishments by receiving honor cords to wear at graduation and will be presented with their certificates at the Senior Awards Ceremony.
We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, leadership, and commitment to their future.
Congratulations to our CTE Scholars—way to represent Belle Plaine!
