MOCK ACCIDENT EXERCISE TODAY 4-8-2026

Your police, fire, and ambulance services will be participating in a mock accident at the Belle Plaine High School today starting at 12:30PM. If you should happen to see a large presence of emergency vehicles at the high school today there is no need to be alarmed.

UPDATE: we attached some photos, some of which may be slightly disturbing to sensitive viewers. A reminder, this was not a real event, this was a MOCK accident to convey the dangers of distracted and/or impaired driving to the students of Belle Plaine Jr/Sr High School.

A special thanks to the Belle Plaine Area Ambulance Service, Belle Plaine Fire Department, Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, the University of Iowa Air Care helicopter and flight crew and to Chance Baburek and the students on the Belle Plaine High School's Win With Wellness committee for putting this all together.
