The CARE Center will be CLOSED on Tuesday, January 21st due to the expected winter weather 🥶 We will continue to monitor the weather & any further closures will be posted to our social media accounts!

Temperatures are expected to drop significantly, with snow, rain, and ice in the forecast. We urge everyone to take necessary precautions around your home to protect people, pets, pipes, and plants. We hope that you stay warm!

Today, we give thanks for the incredible CASA family that makes our mission possible. We are ready to train new advocates!! If you have been thinking about giving back to your community and are willing to serve the children of Plaquemines Parish contact Breyana @ 504-393-5750.

Last week, Louisiana CASA hosted Training of Facilitators for our statewide network in Baton Rouge. Stephanie Breeden, a Licensed Master Social Worker and Director of Member Services for Louisiana CASA, was the trainer for this event. Training of Facilitators is an in-depth, two day training, that equips local program staff with the tools, knowledge, and resources to lead the pre-service training for new CASA volunteers. Louisiana CASA is dedicated to ensuring that each program has access to relevant adult learning and skills-based facilitator training in order to maximize our volunteers’ learning and preparation, which will, ultimately, improve the outcomes of the children CASA serves.
