Plaquemines Parish Clerk of Court The duties and responsibilities of the Clerk of Court are established by the Louisiana Constitution. The Louisiana Legislature statutorily establishes all fees.

Under the Constitution the Clerk serves as the Recorder of Deeds and Mortgages, Clerk of the District Court, Treasurer for the Court system, and Chief Election Officer of the parish. The Clerk of Court’s office is not funded by ad valorem taxes. The operations of the office, including the salaries and benefits of the employees, are entirely funded by the collection of fees for the services the off

ice provides. We are pleased to offer free online access to all of our indices in the online search feature of our website. Images for mortgage, conveyance, marriage, and UCC records can be viewed by purchasing daily, monthly, or yearly subscriptions. Civil and criminal images are not available online. Our mission is to provide high quality, courteous and responsive service at all times, to manage and preserve accurate, meticulous records, and to provide convenient access to documents filed in our office.
