🔴 EMERGENCY CLOSURE
Effective 11:00 a.m. on June 17, 2026, the Pointe à la Hache and Port Sulphur ferry landings will be closed until further notice per the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD).

The closure is necessary to address safety concerns identified during recent inspections of the ferry landing infrastructure.

To help maintain ferry service within Plaquemines Parish, the M/V Pointe à la Hache will be reassigned to the Belle Chasse-Scarsdale route, allowing ferry service on that route to resume.
The safety of passengers, crew members and the traveling public remains our highest priority.

Updates will be provided as they become available.
