UPDATE: BOTH DOGS HOME SAFE

Please help find these dogs. "Reggie" is the dark dog. "Tess" is the light dog.
The dogs were lost from 6926 Sinclair in Ellsworth the dogs do have collars are very friendly.
The dogs escaped this morning, October 7, 2026. Please contact Susan Capizzo @ 313-300-5325 if you see these dogs.

Mac update! Thanks to My Journey Home Dog Rescue he was able to land in a great foster home and receive his ACL surgery!

We have so many awesome dogs waiting for their new homes. All are fixed,

FOUND!

This dog was spotted yesterday and caught last night in the area of Graves Crossing/M-66. We do suspect he was dumped. If this is your dog please call us 231-533-6421, so that we can get some more information about him and process him for adoption sooner rather than later.

What's better than one dog? TWO!
While we do not think these two are bonded, they do love each other and we would like to get them into a home together. Honey is around 2 years old, a retriever mix and loves people, dogs and cats. Blaze is about 8-9 years old, a basset mix, and is a little shy of new people but is good with dogs and cats. Honey has lived her whole life with Blaze. Blaze will bark and let you know when people come to the house. He follows Honey around, and they will run and play together. A home with no kids is best for them. 🧡 THE SHY DOGS ARE WORTH IT 🧡

Scrappy has been here for 387 days. For 387 days, Scrappy has been learning that people can actually be pretty nice and that he doesn't need to be scared of them. For 387 days, he has been watching other dogs come in and then leave when they find forever homes. He doesn't understand why his friends end up leaving, and he is still here waiting.

Scrappy is a two-year old cattle dog mix. Yes, he is -very- shy when meeting new people, but he has an absolute heart of gold underneath just waiting for someone to give it all to. He absolutely loves female dogs - definitely a ladies' man - but still doesn't seem to want to hang out with the other guys.

We know the perfect home for Scrappy is out there. We just know it.
The perfect home for Scrappy:

🧡 Already has a female dog in the home who would love to be his new bestie
🧡 Is calmer and quieter, with no small children, and likely no cats
🧡 Understands he will need time and patience
🧡 Has a fenced-in-yard ready for Scrappy to run around and roll in the snow in

Scrappy is a very loving and energetic dog who keeps his kennel very clean. He loves to go on walks, learned "sit" and "shake" within a matter of minutes. In our yard, he does have a fairly decent recall and knows his name. We would highly recommend several visits before completing the adoption just so that Scrappy has time to realize interested adopters are safe people, too!

Scrappy is neutered, vaccinated, up to date on preventatives, and microchipped.

We love Scrappy. Our staff and volunteers have worked so hard with him. He just needs someone willing to give him the time to show them how amazing he truly is. He is WORTH IT! Give us a call if you might be the perfect home for Scrappy 🧡
