Meet Karina Rodriguez, Library Assistant at Bellaire City Library. She does a little bit of everything, from helping patrons at the front desk with technology questions to assisting with children’s programming. One of her favorite parts of her job right now is helping catalog all the new books, which also means she gets to see plenty of books to add to her own “TBR” (to be read) list. 😊

She joined the City of Bellaire in October 2024 and recently earned her Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Texas, with a specialization in Youth Librarianship. She is passionate about making the library a welcoming place for everyone and helping people discover something new, whether it’s a book, a program, or a new skill.

Fun Fact: She’s been a BTS fan for over 10 years! Her love of K-pop inspired her to learn Korean, which eventually led to her love of languages and different cultures. She even had the opportunity to travel to South Korea and can now speak Korean at an intermediate level!

Karina shares, “I love being part of the Bellaire community, so if you haven’t gotten your library card yet, come on over; I’ll be happy to correct that immediately!”
