As Chief Plant Operator, Greg oversees the City’s water plants, lift stations, and the wastewater treatment plant. He monitors and manages the entire water treatment process, from performing water quality testing and adjusting equipment to managing chemical levels and troubleshooting systems, ensuring everything runs efficiently and meets strict environmental standards. His work is critical to ensuring the City’s water is clean and safe to use and that it is responsibly treated before it returns to the environment.

Greg has worked his way up through the organization. He began his career in the Public Works shop, learning the ins and outs of operations from the ground up. Through hard work and determination, he advanced into his current role as Chief Plant Operator.

Greg truly loves what he does. He takes pride in his work and enjoys being part of the Public Works family.

Meet Damayra Moore, our Crime Victim Specialist in the Bellaire Police Department. She brings warmth, compassion, and steady guidance to everyone she serves. She offers emotional support and essential services to help survivors navigate some of their most challenging moments. Whether she’s explaining next steps, connecting someone with resources, or simply offering a calm presence, Damayra ensures survivors feel heard, supported, and empowered.

And she doesn’t do it alone. Damayra is sometimes joined by her medical service and emotional support assistant, Pepper, her friendly dog who loves spending time around the office. Pepper brings comfort, smiles, and joy to everyone he encounters, especially survivors who appreciate that extra bit of encouragement and warmth.

Did You Know? 💡 The City will begin spraying for mosquitoes June 9 thru October to help control the mosquito population in Bellaire. The spraying occurs weekly at night - when mosquitos are most active - in all areas inside and outside Loop 610.

The City offers a “No Spray Request” form for citizens who do not want spraying near their homes. This form must be filled out each year.

Visit our website for more details on the Mosquito Control Program and spray schedule.
