This past weekend, Chief Camacho and our BGPD Explorers took on LASD’s Pink Patch 5K Run/Walk at Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park! 🎀🏃‍♂️

Together, they hit the course to show their support for those affected by breast cancer and help raise awareness for the fight against the disease.

We’re proud to stand alongside our law enforcement partners and community in support of this important cause. 💗

Drive Sober or Hand 'em Over! 🚗🔑

On Friday, September 4, 2026, the Bell Gardens Police Department will conduct a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) checkpoint from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at an undisclosed location.

DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on data showing incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of these checkpoints is to promote public safety by deterring drivers from driving impaired.

This program is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety () through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ().

Last week, officers from the Bell Gardens Police Department conducted routine Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) license and compliance checks at several local convenience stores throughout the city.

These visits provide an opportunity for officers to educate business owners and patrons about responsible alcohol sales and consumption, while ensuring businesses remain in compliance with state laws and regulations.

Thank you to our local business owners for working with us to help keep Bell Gardens a safe and welcoming community!
