***Working Fire***

On Sunday, June 14, at approximately 13:27, the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office Communications received multiple calls reporting a house fire in the 100 block of East Road. Third Assistant Chief D’Arcy arrived quickly after dispatch and confirmed an outside-in fire, with all occupants reported to be out.

Truck Company 7 arrived first due and conducted a primary search, locating the fire and containing it with two water cans to prevent further extension inside. Engine 3 and Engine 7 arrived simultaneously. Engine 3 secured its own water supply and stretched two lines, while the chauffeur of Engine 7 performed a reverse lay to establish a secondary water supply and set up a precautionary line to the Truck Company’s ladder pipe. The crew also assisted Engine 3 with the backup line.

Chief of Department Daniel Kelly declared the fire under control at approximately 13:50. Company 7 responded with 20 members.

Yesterday, just after 1530 hours dispatch began to receive multiple calls for a fire in the area of the Junction. The assignment was quickly upgraded to a working fire assignment on Lynn Ct. Arriving Chiefs found the back of a home well involved in the rear and extending to the attic. LT 7 arrived first in with Engine 3 closely behind. 7 entered the home to conduct searches, while other members went up to vent the roof. Engine 7 arrived a short time later and opened up the ceiling and assisted in fully extinguishing the fire. The fire was contained to the exterior rear of the home and the attic. Outstanding job to all involved. Our hearts are with the affected homeowners.

After taking up from the fire, the men were treated by Chief Kelly to drinks from who were also assisting with our fundraiser at the same time! Thank you Drink Spot for supporting your firefighters!

***Working Fire***
On April 2, Ladder Tower 7 responded on a 3+ Alarm into the City Of Long Branch. Fire was running the attic space in a large 4 story apartment building under construction. 7 was tasked with to go to the roof and start making a trench cut. The crew worked for about 2 hours cutting the roof, which assisted heavily in finally extinguishing the fire. From time of dispatch to back in quarters was around 5 hours, all of which was staffed by 100% volunteers!
