June Park of the Month is CITY PARK!
We felt it only right to make City Park our first Park of the Month as it was Belfast's first park, founded in 1904 by The Belfast Improvement Society, a group of local women activists.
Today the Park welcomes everyone with open arms to its many amenities including; an arboretum, walking path, playground, tennis courts, pool, pickleball courts, basketball court, t-ball field, disc golf baskets, food concessions, pavilion, and horseshoe pits. Not to forget the beloved grills and picnic tables throughout!
In the summer, Belfast City Park is a wonderful place to enjoy a game, bbq with your friends and family, cool off in the pool, or sit by the ocean. But we love seeing how many folks enjoy this space year round! Just because the gates close in November, doesn't mean the adventures end! We see the snowshoe tracks and puppy prints in the snow too.
What's YOUR favorite thing about City Park??
