North Mason School District The North Mason School District is a forward moving district in the beautiful Hood Canal area. We serve 2100 students and their families in six schools.

We welcome community commentary but will remove comments that violate student privacy rights and the District's civility policy. We have a comprehensive high school (9-12), one middle school (6-8), two elementary schools (P-5) and two alternative schools. Our slogan is: "Educate, Empower, Inspire & Prepare"

🌎🍜✨ North Mason School District is bringing the world to our cafeterias! ✨🍽️

A huge shoutout to our Director of Child Nutrition, Mackenna Long, for being featured in the Power Up Your Program Nutrition Education success stories! 🎉

After listening to student feedback, Mackenna discovered that students wanted to experience new cultural flavors. The result? An exciting International Flavors Week featuring delicious meals like ramen bowls, poutine, flautas, and bratwurst! 🌍🥘

She also introduced a monthly"Flavor of the Month" to share nutrition information, spark conversations with families, and encourage students to explore new foods. 🍎🥕✨

School meals are more than just lunch. They are opportunities for students to learn about nutrition, discover new foods, and build healthy habits that can last a lifetime. We're proud of the innovative work happening in our cafeterias and grateful for Mackenna's dedication to making mealtime both educational and enjoyable. 👏💙💛

We are excited to share an opportunity that may provide additional after-school options for our students and families. The 2026 Boys & girls club Familes Survey Flyer outlines a potential partnership to bring after-school programming to Belfair Elementary and Sand Hill Elementary students.

If this is something that might benefit your family, we encourage you to take a few moments to complete the interest survey by September 4. Your feedback will help determine the level of interest and assist in planning programs that best meet the needs of our community.

Is your student interested in participating in school sports this year? Now is the time to make sure everything is ready to go!

Before athletes can begin practicing, families must complete their FinalForms registration, submit any required physical paperwork, ensure fees and fines are paid, and purchase an ASB card and sports fee. Once all requirements are completed, students will be cleared to participate.

We offer a variety of sports throughout the school year, including baseball, fastpitch, track, soccer, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, cross country, and football.

If you have questions about registration, required forms, physicals, fees, or upcoming sports seasons, please contact the Hawkins Middle School Main Office at 360-277-2302. We're happy to help get your student ready for a great season!

We've added new menu selections that reflect the flavors students are loving right now, alongside the familiar favorites they already know and enjoy.

⏱️ Faster service at secondary schools
We've improved our meal service flow to help students get through the line more quickly, giving them more time to eat, relax, and connect with friends.

As a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) district, every North Mason student receives breakfast and lunch at no cost, with no application required.

💚 One Important Favor: Please Complete the CNEEB Applications your child are bringing home.

Even though meals are free for every student, completing the Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit (CNEEB) Application can help unlock valuable benefits for your family and provide additional support for our schools.

Completing the form may help qualify your family for:

✅ Summer EBT (SUN Bucks) grocery benefits
✅ Reduced or waived fees for school programs and activities
✅ Additional educational funding that benefits all North Mason students
