Thank you to the Animal Protection Voters for your endorsement!

Every New Mexican deserves safety, security and joy - including animals in the Land of Enchantment. From establishing a Department of Animal Protection to supporting survivors of DV/SA and their animals and far beyond, I am honored and excited to work shoulder to shoulder with the leaders and stakeholders of the APV next year in the Roundhouse.

👍Vote for legislator who will show up for 👣🐾 all New Mexicans 🐾👣; vote for a legislator who will say “yes” to our community:
👍Vote for Katherine Gauer.

📣I am incredibly honored to receive the endorsement of the Mescalero Apache Tribe.

Throughout my career, I have worked to strengthen our election infrastructure, build coalitions, and protect access to the ballot. I am especially grateful that the Tribal Council recognized my opposition to the SAVE Act and the barriers it would create for rural and low-income voters.

Thank you to President Duane T. Duffy and the Mescalero Apache Tribal Council for your trust and support. I will continue working to ensure New Mexico’s elections are safe, secure, accessible, and fair for every voter.

💙Amanda

📺 If you missed the Valencia County News-Bulletin Candidate Forum, here’s your chance to watch it.

Candidate forums give voters something campaign mailers and social media posts can’t: a chance to hear candidates answer questions, explain their priorities, and speak directly to the people they are asking to represent.

That’s why we were disappointed to see so many races represented by only one side at this forum.

This was a bipartisan event, planned with input and assistance from both the Democratic and Republican Parties of Valencia County. Yet the Republican candidates for the following contested offices did not participate:

🔹 New Mexico House District 7
🔹 New Mexico House District 8
🔹 Valencia County Commission District 1
🔹 Valencia County Assessor
🔹 Valencia County Sheriff
🔹 Magistrate Judge Division 3
🔹 Valencia County Probate Judge

Whatever your political party, voters deserve opportunities to hear directly from the people asking for their vote. Showing up, answering questions, and explaining where you stand are important parts of running for public office.

We encourage everyone to watch the forum, listen to the candidates who participated, and continue asking questions of every candidate on your ballot.

🗳️ Be informed. Ask questions. And vote.

The Democratic Party of Valencia County wants to ensure that folks can get to the polls. Because there is so much uncertainty about mail-in ballots this year, we are encouraging folks to vote early and vote in-person. We know that can be difficult for people to do, and we want to help ensure that anyone who wants to vote can do so.

If you need a ride to vote, please let us know below. If you are able to volunteer to give people a ride to vote, please let us know. You can provide your information in the form below.
