A resident in Grattan Township has reported receiving a fake invoice via email on recreated Grattan Township letterhead asking for payment of fees via electronic transfer. This attempted scam was intricate and convincing in it's language and images, and the resident did well to contact the township first instead of falling victim to this scam. This attempted scam has been reported to the Kent County Sheriff's Department.

As a reminder to all residents and others, please be careful in all your digital communications and verify the identity of the sender before clicking on any links or providing any personal information or payments.

Please also note, no department at Grattan Township will request payment of fees or fines via electronic transfer. At Grattan Township, payments are taken primary via check or through our online payment system accessed via our website. If you receive a request that seems to be from one of our office staff, it's always a good idea to call our office and verify the request. You can call at the number and during the times listed below.

The month of a May is here and, despite the current cold spell, it seems summer will be upon us soon.

It's a full schedule of public meetings in Grattan Township this month. The current schedule is as follows.

- Zoning Board of Appeals meeting, May 6th - Grattan Township Hall

- Township Board meeting, May 11th - Grattan Township Hall

- Planning Commission Regular & Special meeting back-to-back, May 20th @5:30 or 6pm (watch Twp website for updates) - Grattan Township Hall

Kent District Mobile Library mobile library will be at the Grattan Township Office today from 10am to 11am!

Just experienced some odd power events here at the Grattan Township Office. Looks like power is out for a significant number of our neighbors.

The generator at Grattan Township is up and running, with heat and internet in the building. If you need a place to wait for your power to come back on, you're welcome at the township building. We'll be open until 4pm this evening.

Hello Grat-tonians!

March is here and Spring is working its way to us.

The Grattan Township Board will have AT LEAST one meeting this month on the traditional second Monday (9 March - 7pm) with the option for a second meeting (23 March). Visit the township office or website for details and updates.

The Grattan Township Board of Review will be hosting property tax hearings at the Grattan Township office, March 10th & 11th. Call the Grattan Township office (616-691-8450) for details and to schedule an appointment. Appointments accepted until March 11th.
