This week's updates on the federal landscape and its effects on nonprofits from National Council of Nonprofits:

The U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) published a 400+-page proposed rule to revise the Unform Guidance for federal financial assistance. NCN is closely reviewing the proposal and will share a full analysis and resources soon to help nonprofits submit public comments.

This month marks TEN YEARS of the Charles County Charitable Trust! Created in 2016, the Charitable Trust was founded to establish an unbiased nonprofit grant funding program and oversight of the County's nonprofit funds. Across 10 years of grantmaking, the Trust has dispersed over $12.6 Million in nonprofit grants to 501c3 organizations that support Charles County citizens.

Beyond granting funds, the Charitable Trust has also implemented support programs for nonprofits such as budget and grant writing training, researching and sharing new grant opportunities, CommUNITY Stories to highlight the missions and needs of local nonprofits, creation of a Microgrant program to fund small charities, and more.
