The Bel Air Police Department maintains official social media pages to share information with the public regarding department news, programs, events, investigations, and public safety information. Our social media pages are intended to promote communication and engagement with the community we serve. We welcome comments that are relevant, respectful, a
nd related to the topic of the original post. Comments are monitored and moderated to ensure productive and appropriate discussion. Comment Moderation
The Bel Air Police Department reserves the right to remove comments or content that include, but are not limited to:
• Profanity, obscene, or explicit language
• Personal attacks, harassment, or threats of violence
• Discriminatory or hateful speech directed at protected groups
• Content that promotes or encourages illegal activity
• Information that may compromise officer safety, public safety, or ongoing investigations
• Personal identifying information (phone numbers, addresses, Social Security numbers, etc.)
• False, misleading, or deceptive information presented as fact
• Spam, commercial advertisements, or solicitation
• Links to malicious or unrelated websites
• Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Comments that are clearly off-topic from the original post
• Duplicate or repetitive comments that disrupt discussion
• Attempts to circumvent profanity filters or post masked profanity
The Bel Air Police Department may also remove comments that reference evidentiary information that could interfere with an active investigation. Disabling Comments
