Dangerous heat is expected today and tomorrow. Please check on older relatives, neighbors, and anyone who may not have access to air conditioning.

Stay hydrated, limit time outdoors when possible, and never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle. Harford County Public Library locations are available as cooling locations for those who need relief from the heat.

Dangerous heat and humidity is expected today and tomorrow for much of Maryland with heat indexes near 100°. Check on older relatives and neighbors to ensure they have working AC. If not, help them get to one of the 11 Harford County Public Library locations to cool down.

Please welcome another new blue in Town. Congratulations are in order to Christopher Birch on being sworn in as the newest lateral police officer with the Bel Air Police Department. There is no doubt that Chris is an energized/positive guy who's ready to begin serving (yesterday), our amazing Town and his home county!

As always we extend our thanks and appreciation to the Harford County Office of Clerk of the Circuit Court for always being so accommodating and for performing this important service.

Our members were proud to participate in this morning’s Harford County Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics Maryland.

The event began at the Lock House Museum in Havre de Grace and brought together law enforcement personnel from across Harford County for an important cause.

We appreciate everyone who participated and supported the Law Enforcement Torch Run and the athletes of Special Olympics Maryland.

A big thank you to The Home Depot of Bel Air.
Store Manager John Garst personally delivered a generous donation of a Traeger grill and accessories to the Bel Air Police Department.
We sincerely appreciate this thoughtful donation and the continued support The Home Depot provides to our department and the Bel Air community. Strong partnerships with our local businesses are important to us, and we are grateful for the positive relationship we have built with The Home Depot of Bel Air.

Thank you again to John Garst and the entire Bel Air Home Depot team for their generosity and support.

Officer Sperl recently assisted a group of young adults who were dealing with a flat tire.

After helping them get the tire changed safely, he took the time to explain the process and walk them through the steps so they would be better prepared in the future.

It’s a great example of the small but meaningful ways our officers serve the community every day. Great work, Officer Sperl.

We are incredibly thankful for "blessed" stuffed bears and blankets created by St. Margaret Church and St. Margaret School (Bel Air). This act of kindness and love will undoubtedly bring smiles and comfort to children during some of their most challenging moments in life. It's a beautiful example of the teamwork we share with St. Margaret's and all of our religious institutions in Town. Thank you again students from St. Margaret School and Deacon Herman Wilkin, who is also our chaplain, for the gifts which will be put to good use and build smiles during challenging moments in life. 🙏👮‍♀️👮🙏
