Co3 and HCDES Units were dispatched for an MVC at Water Tower Way and The Bypass. M311 arrived on the scene and confirmed 2 vehicles down an embankment into the woods with one on its side and one patient trapped. R3 arrived on the scene, and immediately stabilized and began extrication along with E314 and E316. One patient was transported to a local trauma center. Chief 3-2 held the command.

Bel Air VFC members spent the day participating in live burn training. Crews worked the basics: deploying and flowing handlines, primary search, VES, and coordinated ventilation. An engine crew stayed back to cover the local. The Auxiliary also brought Utility 388 out to serve crews breakfast, lunch, and rehab between evolutions.

Building Fire - 4600 Mercedes Dr - Bottcher Industries

Fire reported in the industrial roller plant. E315 had laid-in and worked from Side-A. Co.4, Co.8 & 12A units extinguished most of fire from other side. Extensive overhaul and ventilation needed.

Building Fire - 680 Marketplace Dr

Units arrived with a compactor dumpster, connected to building, on fire. Heavy smoke had spread throughout the store. Dumpster was pulled from building & extinguished after extended period. Extensive ventilation time needed to rid building of smoke. County Health Department on scene to investigate food in store.

Companies at scene: Bel Air, Fallston, Joppa, Abingdon.

Rescue Box 411-3

Bel Air was alerted to assist with a MVC w/ rescue in the 800 block of E Wheel Rd. R3 and E315 hit the streets at dispatch and were the first arriving suppression units. Co 3 stabilized the vehicle, removed the doors and roof, and extricated the patient from the vehicle. Airbrake to completed rescue was less than ten minutes. Harford County DES transported the patient to a local trauma center.

Bel Air VFC assisted Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company on a fire in a two-story single family. E315 with six volunteers assisted with extinguishment and overhaul. Four auxiliary members also responded with U388 to provide refreshments and rehab.
