Earlier today, U38 and Rescue 3 participated in Family Day at the American Legion on Hickory Avenue then went to the Touch a Truck event at the Forest Hill Chick fil A. Thank you to everyone who came out to see us.

This evening, a father brought his three little girls by house 1. He was teaching them about the significance of 9/11 and they wanted to bring us these hand made cards and 2 plates of rice crispy treats. Although we did not get your names, we want to thank you very much for thinking of us.

1050 PI Rescue - Rt.1 & Kalmia Rd

2-car 1050 rescue, with both vehicles down embankment. One subject trapped in pick-up truck. Units stabilized both vehicles then removed door and roof of pick-up to extricate.

One patient to trauma center and one to local hosptal.

Units at scene: Chf 3-2, Chf 3-1, Rescue 3, E313, Rescue 9, County EMS.

*** Working Fire w/ Rescue ***

At 5:07PM Company 3 was alerted to a first due fire on Brooks Rd in the 305-1 box. E313 hit the street at dispatch with Tower 3 following soon after. While en route dispatch received reports of a single person trapped in the basement and upgraded the assignment.

E313 arrived and identified a fire in the basement of a single story home. The crew immediately deployed a hose line and made entry into the basement. E313 faced hoarder conditions and zero visibility but were able to locate a resident in the fire room. E313's Sergeant carried the resident out of the basement where they were handed off to EMS. The victim was transported by ground to a local burn center and is in stable condition.

Tower 3 arrived shortly after as the second due unit and laddered the building, finished the primary search, and opened up for the engine crew. The auxiliary also responded with U388 to rehab units.
