Today, on Peace Officers Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

We especially remember Officer Brian Elliott and continue to keep his family, friends, and the Beech Grove IN Police Department in our thoughts.

It was a privilege to serve and honor his life. His dedication and sacrifice will not be forgotten.

We are so thankful to all our BG Police Officers this National Police week, and every day that follows. Thank you for protecting us! πŸ–€πŸ’™

The City of Beech Grove, along with community members, local leaders, and law enforcement agencies will gather for a candlelight vigil TOMORROW, Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m. honoring the life and service of Beech Grove Police Officer Brian Elliott, who was killed in the line of duty on Monday, Feb. 16.

Officer Elliott joined the Beech Grove Police Department in April 2024. A native of Beech Grove, he was fulfilling a lifelong dream of serving as a Beech Grove police officer when he fell in the line of duty. According to Beech Grove Police Department Chief Michael Maurice, Officer Elliott had a calling to be a police officer, specifically a Beech Grove officer.

The vigil will provide an opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance, reflection, and support for Officer Elliott’s family, fellow law enforcement officers, and loved ones. A limited number of candles will be provided. The community is invited to attend and participate.

Earlier today, the Central Indiana Police Foundation announced it is hosting the official, family-approved fund to support the family of Officer Elliott. To donate, visit https://cipf.foundation/in-memory-of-beech-grove-officer-brian-elliott/.
