This post (albeit, an expression of gratitude) is of a slightly different nature than our typical ones. We want to thank Marina and Jessica of Lucille’s Own Make Candies in Manahawkin for having dark chocolate covered apricots (or as Mr. Nate refers to this confectionery treat as: tasty blood pressure medicine) in their store! Thanks also to “Brother TP” for sharing his specialty chocolate with us tonight. We are grateful to each of you for helping to make our life a little sweeter!

Mr. Nate had the honor of speaking at the three FCA chapel services today. His main message focused on an approach to share the Gospel utilizing passages of Scripture that include the word “all.” However, a question from the upper elementary group about his “bow” (a.k.a. necktie) led to a previously unplanned discussion with them. (He will have the opportunity, Lord willing, to revisit the “all passages” with the elementary students next week.)

With the completion of the 2026 Chinese Gospel Camp program, our five week summer stretch of service at Harvey Cedars also comes to a conclusion. We appreciate your prayers for a safe journey home for Miss April and Mr. Nate. (Please also pray for Miss April as she returns back to the classroom bright and early tomorrow morning. She in no way has what would be considered as “a typical teacher’s summer!”)

We are grateful for those of you who continue to faithfully intercede on behalf of our programs. Today during the morning service of the Chinese Gospel Camp, the “craft side” of our classroom served as our counseling area as one young man and one young lady prayed to accept the Lord as their Savior! Please pray that they both will continue to grow in their faith walk with God. We appreciate your ongoing prayers for the remainder of the Gospel Camp event. Today was our team’s first set of services for the 2026 Chinese Gospel Camp program. We appreciate your prayers for our sessions to bear positive spiritual fruit for God’s kingdom. In addition to us, please pray also for the team of young people and adults who are assisting us. (Please pray also for Mr. Philip and his immediate family as they make their return to Pennsylvania for ministry responsibilities there. Miss April and Mr. Nate will serve at HCBC through the conclusion of Gospel Camp. On that note, you could kindly pray for Mr. Nate’s voice to be strengthened.)

Various parts of the HCBC property have become impromptu counseling stations for us. Just this morning a father and his daughter from the 2026 Family Week #4 program spoke with Mr. Nate near the directional sign at the end of the Victorian Hotel. During the previous night’s KnightLights program the daughter prayed to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior…during the same Christian biography lesson about Hudson Taylor that was used to lead Mr. Nate to Christ (more than a few years ago) when he was a young boy! Earlier in the morning, Miss April shared the amazing testimony of “the wrench story” outside of the dining hall. We ask that you please pray for our team as we prepare to serve at this weekend’s Chinese Gospel Camp program.

We are grateful for those of you who faithfully pray for our programs. Tonight a young lady in our class made the most important decision that anyone can make. She took the step of faith to embrace Christ as her Savior! Making it extra special was the fact that our former student (Miss Kate) assisted Miss April during the counseling time. (The hallway near our current classroom once again served as our makeshift counseling area.) We appreciate your prayers for the remaining services that we have with this group of families.
