Rain didn’t stop our Bearcat Soccer teams this morning! 🌧️⚽ We had a great first showing in the Suburban Recreational Soccer League! Our players showed a lot of effort and determination, including an exciting fourth-period comeback attempt by our Grades 5–6 team!

Our sports staff and coaches are proud of the growth we’re already seeing from our players and our soccer program.

A big thank you to the SRSL and all of the participating communities for welcoming our Bedford teams into the league. We’re excited for the season ahead!

And of course, a shoutout to Rookie Sports Club for helping us grow our soccer program through clinics to get there!

Our registration software, Myrec, is experiencing an outage and we are unable to send reminders to our registered Bearcat Soccer Participants Grades PreK-Grade 4.

Here are the details for Saturday, September 12th, Youth Bearcat Soccer Clinic:
Location: Hutchinson Field A, 350 West Grace St.
Ages 4-5 Time: 10:00am
Ages 6-8 Time: 11:00am
Ages 9-12 Time: 12:00pm
Wear athletic gear for the weather (shorts/sweatpants, tshirt/ sweatshirt). Bring a water bottle. Wear shin guards. Rubber molded cleats recommended but not required.

Good luck to our Bearcat Soccer Grades 5/6 as they host Newburgh Hts tomorrow at 12:00pm on Hutchinson Field B. Grades 7/8 will be traveling for a noon start in Parma Heights.

☀️POOL OPEN TODAY! 💦Due to today’s high heat index, the Bedford Municipal Pool will be open TODAY, Wednesday, September 2, from 1–6 PM, weather permitting!

With Bedford Schools closed today and additional staff becoming available, we were able to add this bonus pool day to the schedule! Please note that some areas of the pool may have limited availability based on attendance and staffing. Areas will be adjusted throughout the day as needed.

Regular admission requirements apply:
• Proof of residency is required for all Bedford residents.
• Non-resident guests must be accompanied by a Bedford resident pool passholder at a 1:1 ratio.
