The following is a tentative schedule for the flushing of fire hydrants for the City of Bedford.

The schedule is subject to change if each day’s work is not completed as scheduled or in case of inclement weather.

Customers may notice fluctuations in pressure and/or discoloration of their tap water during hydrant flushing. If water appears discolored, customers are advised to run their cold water until it clears. It is recommended that customers postpone washing laundry and limit use of hot water until the cold water clears.

The City of Bedford will be conducting fire hydrant flushing. This schedule is tentative and may change due to weather or if work is not completed as planned.

💧 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁:
• Temporary drops in water pressure
• Possible discoloration of tap water

👉 If your water appears discolored, run cold water until it clears.
👉 Please avoid doing laundry and limit hot water use until water runs clear.

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 - City of Bedford trash collection service will resume on Tuesday. Please place your trash out on your regularly scheduled pickup day.

🗓 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀:
Your trash will be collected on Tuesday, January 27.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 as our Street & Sanitation crews are continuing to focus all efforts on snow removal to get city roads safe and passable. We will provide an update on when service will be provided after assessing weather and road conditions. ❄️

City offices are closed today. Emergency personnel are still reporting for duty. We appreciate our plow truck drivers who are working diligently; however, the heavy snowfall and sub-zero temperatures mean clearing efforts take more time. Thank you for your patience.

This image is a screenshot of everywhere we have been since 5:00 PM yesterday. Most of the roads have been covered at least twice , main roads a lot more, all of this to say … stay off the roads if at all possible, it is going to continue for a long while and with the temperatures where they are it’s just quite simply not going to get better for awhile.
