Weather permitting, the Bedford Township Municipal Authority will be flushing the water distribution system on Sweet Root Rd, Back Springs Rd and Topsiders area. Flushing will begin Monday, April 13th and run through Wednesday, April 15th from 8:00am to 2:30pm each day. Customers may experience cloudy water and a slight pressure fluctuation while the Authority flushes the fire hydrants. Please be aware of Authority employees and vehicles while they perform the system maintenance in these areas.

REMINDER!!! ATTENTION BTMA CUSTOMERS - PROTECT YOUR PIPES FROM FREEZING:
If you are concerned that your pipes may freeze, please keep your faucets dripping (at a small trickle) to prevent frozen pipes and open cabinets below sinks to allow warm air circulation. Also keep your heat at 55 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.

WINTER WEATHER EMERGENCY BULLETIN

As a result of the probability for accumulating snowfall for the period of Saturday through Monday, a “WINTER WEATHER EMERGENCY” is hereby declared to exist on the following date(s) and time(s) in the Borough of Bedford:

-11:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24th until 7:00 a.m. Sunday, January 25th

-11:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25th until 7:00 a.m. Monday, January 26th

Motorists are advised that it will be illegal to park vehicles on any public streets or alleys within the Borough or in the Fort Bedford Park Parking Lot between the aforementioned times. Motorists will, however, be permitted to utilize the Municipal Parking Lot located in the center of the Borough behind the Mini-Mall for overnight parking but are requested to vacate the Parking Lot by 7:00 a.m. so that Borough Employees can plow the snow between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

The Bedford Police Department will be enforcing the Winter Weather Emergency declaration.
