I would like to thank the Bedford Hills community for coming out today to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation at today’s Memorial Day parade.

Although the weather was not great, we had a wonderful turnout. Standing together today was but a small sacrifice compared to the sacrifices made by those who gave their lives for our freedoms.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this Memorial Day a meaningful tribute.

Tomorrow, May 25, 2026, the Bedford Hills Fire Department invites the entire community to join us for our annual Memorial Day Parade as we come together to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

The parade will begin promptly at 9:00 AM at the intersection of Glenn Road and Babbitt Road and will proceed down Church Street.

Our first stop will be at the World War I Honor Roll at the Community House for a wreath laying ceremony and gun salute. The parade will then continue down Main Street into Depot Plaza for an additional wreath laying ceremony, gun salute, and the playing of Taps.

We are also honored to welcome local resident and military veteran, U.S. Army Sgt. Timothy Gould, who will deliver this year’s keynote address.

While the weather forecast may not be ideal, the wreath laying ceremonies and gun salutes at both memorials will take place regardless of weather conditions. If necessary, the keynote address will be held inside the Bedford Hills Fire Department.

All members of the community are encouraged to attend as we remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country.

Another Successful Suzanne Grant Foundation Day with the Fox Lane Junior Class

On Wednesday May 20th, members of BHFD teamed up with Bedford Fire & EMS, Mount Kisco Fire & EMS, KBHVAC and Pound Ridge Fire for the Suzanne Grant Foundation Day, which was held at the Bedford Fire Department. The agencies collaborated together for the Annual Event with the Fox Lane Junior Class and ran the approximate 30 students through several different scenarios and drills. An EMS Station, Hose Stretching exercise and Hurst Tool Jenga rounded out the events that were done with the students. Thanks to the partnership with the Suzanne Grant Foundation and Fox Lane High School all the agencies mentioned have benefited from the event and gained members these past couple of years from students who took part in the event.

Thanks again to C2041 and the Bedford Fire Department for playing host to this event again this year. We look forward to the 2027 Suzanne Grant Foundation Day.
