Thanks TOB DPW and NYSEG crews that worked overnight to open roads and turn power back on to hundreds of homes in town.
183 remain without power this morning in 5 different areas. UPDATE 5/21 at 7:40am NYSEG has 27 crews deployed with more in the way. 183 customers out in 5 different areas in Town of Bedford. At least 8 broken utility poles that need to be removed and replaced and still some trees down. They say they are aiming for late afternoon restoration but it may take longer in some areas. As our nation commemorates the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, our town-wide, coalition is working to foster historical awareness and civic pride, encouraging everyone to learn about history and nurture the values of democracy, participation, and shared purpose. The Rev Up 250 banners are up in time for Memorial Day when we honor those who have sacrificed for our nation and those values we share as Americans.

Thanks to all the volunteers who organized and participated in the Bedford Conservation Board, Bedford Vine Cutters, and Riverkeeper Sweep on Railroad Ave,. the Katonah Village Improvement Society - KVIS Clean Up Day in Katonah, and the Bedford Hills Lions Club litter clean up this weekend! Cleaning up the roadside protects drinking water, beautifies our town, and boosts community pride! Thank you!
