We are celebrating our Unseen Unsung heroes! 911 Dispatchers are widely considered the "unseen and unsung heroes" of law enforcement. As first responders they are the vital link between the public, Police officers and Fire Department. They often manage high stress and life or death situations from behind a headset. Bedford Heights Dispatchers answer 100,000 plus calls for service each year. These are the professionals that provide 24/7 service to the community.

We are saddened by the passing of former Lieutenant Jerry Bascombe. Lieutenant Bascombe proudly served the residents of Bedford Heights from September 1974 through September 2010. During his 36 years of dedicated service, he held the positions of patrolmen, sergeant, and ultimately Lieutenant. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Rest in peace, Jerry.

‼️Traffic Advisory‼️
I think we all can agree the weather outside is not ideal when you have work tomorrow. You can help contribute toward traffic safety by giving yourself a reasonable amount of time to clean the snow off your car. And prepare to leave 15-20 minutes early to give yourself time for traffic delays. When temperatures are below 32 degrees and snow and ice have accumulated on the ground it makes roads very difficult to drive on. Drive for the conditions and drive slow. As always Drive safe.
