Congratulations to Jordan Peterson, counselor at Mountain View Middle School, who was selected as a BSD Achiever for December. BSD Achievers is a program that recognizes the hard work and dedication of BSD staff members. Each month, three honorees are selected from nominations submitted by the students, parents/guardians, staff and Beaverton community members.

As stated in her nomination, "She is so - sooo amazing and loving. She makes people laugh and feel understood and tries her absolute best to make people feel happy. I feel she deserves to be a BSD Achiever because she’s been doing this for awhile and makes a mark on everyone she meets."

Well deserved, Jordan!

Stay tuned for a video highlighting all three December BSD Achievers tomorrow!

Listen to our high school students practicing gratitude.

Showing gratitude has been proven to improve one’s mental health. It increases positive emotions, improves relationships, reduces stress and depressive symptoms, boosts resilience and improves physical well-being.
It doesn’t require major life changes—just a shift in focus.
Let us know what you’re grateful for below. 🔽
