You never know what’s hiding under a water meter! 🐝

TVWD Field Customer Service Representative Derek discovered tens of thousands of honeybees in a meter box in Beaverton. Luckily, TVWD Fleet Coordinator Jeremy & Distribution Water Operator Bruce – both beekeepers – stepped in to carefully relocate the colony to a local farm.

TVWD prioritizes protecting pollinators whenever possible, helping honeybees continue their vital work supporting farms, gardens, and ecosystems. Read the full story and learn what to do if you encounter a swarm: www.tvwd.org/bees

We’ve seen reports of imposters posing as utility employees across our region. Don't be caught off guard - follow these simple guidelines to stay protected:

TVWD employees don't enter homes without an appointment. We may knock on your door for a service call you requested or to alert you about an emergency with your water service, such as a water main break or major construction.

If someone arrives at your door unannounced claiming to be from TVWD, ask to see their photo ID badge - all TVWD employees carry one. When in doubt, don’t let them in and call (503) 848-3000 to verify with a supervisor.
