Erina-poppy Isabella checking in. 😻

We helped this stray cat back in March who had a diaphragmatic hernia She has been adopted and doing wonderful!!!

A diaphragmatic hernia in cats is a tear or defect in the diaphragm muscle, allowing abdominal organs to enter the chest cavity, compressing the lungs and heart. Often caused by trauma (e.g., car accidents) or congenital defects, symptoms include severe respiratory distress, labored breathing, and lethargy. Diagnosis is via imaging, and treatment requires surgical repair, which is often successful. ❤️
