An important safety reminder as school is starting up again soon:

As students head back to school over the next few weeks, you'll begin seeing more school buses on our roadways. That means it's time for all of us to slow down, stay alert, and remember one of the most important rules of the road:

STOP for school buses when they are loading or unloading children. 🛑

Those flashing red lights and extended stop arm are there to protect students as they cross the street. Taking a few extra moments to stop could save a child's life.

As you adjust to the return of school traffic, please:

• Stop for school buses displaying flashing red lights and an extended stop arm.
• Watch carefully for children crossing the street—never assume you can see every student.
• Slow down in school zones and eliminate distractions while driving.

Let's work together to make this school year a safe one for every student, parent, bus driver, and motorist. Thank you for doing your part to help keep our community's children safe.

Today is a day of celebration for Black Americans to commorate their freedom. Something they should of had in the first place.

I invite white people on this feed to observe Juneteenth through the following ways:
1. Educate yourself on the history and continued legacy of slavery
2. Reflect on how white supremacy is in your life & community
3. Support Black owned businesses & organizations
4. Avoid cultural appropriation
5. Contribute to social justice
6. Make space for uncomfortable conversations
