Beavercreek AFJROTC Shines at Harvest-O!
While we had cadets volunteering at this weekend’s Popcorn Festival, 42 of our amazing cadets put their land navigation skills to the test at the Miami Valley Orienteering Club’s Harvest-O event today! From reading maps to finding checkpoints, our cadets showed teamwork, determination, and a great spirit of adventure. It wasn’t just about the competition - it was about learning, supporting each other, and having a whole lot of fun along the way! We are so proud of their performance and the way in which they represented themselves and the unit!

Our cadets were honored to present the Colors at the City of Beavercreek’s 9/11 ceremony, marking the 25th anniversary of the tragic attacks that took over 3,000 lives. Participating in this solemn tribute gave our team a powerful moment to reflect on the bravery and ultimate sacrifices of our first responders and military personnel.

We then wrapped up the day at our home football game's Military Appreciation Night, coming together as a community to celebrate and honor our military veterans. It was a privilege to pay tribute to all who serve and sacrifice for our country throughout the entire day.

Congratulations to Beavercreek High School Air Force Junior ROTC Cadets Lydia Mader and Michael Groetz on completing their solo flight!

Having each being awarded the Order of Daedalians Flight 9 Training Program Scholarship in April, Lydia and Michael worked hard this summer in successfully completing ground school and approximately 20-25 hours of flight instruction culminating in their solo flight!

We are very proud of their accomplishments! A very special thanks to the Flight 9 Order of Daedalians for their generous support of our program and its cadets! ✈️

And so it begins … the first “Sippin’ with Sarge” Coffee Club of the school year was a rousing success! Nearly 50 cadets joined Sarge for a little morning brew and casual conversation! It was great seeing our older cadets helping our freshman cadets get engaged in the JROTC experience! The best part is there’s just two simple rules: 1. Bring your own brew and 2. No talking about school or JROTC because that bores Sarge!

ICYMI: Our Cadet Staff organized an awesome back-to-school cookout! 🌭🔥

It was a fantastic opportunity for new and returning cadets to bond, and for parents to meet our instructors, Major and Sarge, to get pumped for the upcoming school year.

Our cadets showed off their skills with live Raider and Drill Team demonstrations before facing off in an epic game of tug-of-war. Rumor has it the parents even jumped in and proved that wisdom (and leverage!) beats youth. 😉

A special thanks goes out to our incredible Booster Club for hosting over 300 cadets, parents, and supporters throughout the day!

Maddie Cantu, Kendra Remlinger, Ethan Odum, and Levi DeDiemar, all cadets in our Beavercreek AFJROTC, recently experienced a new level of freedom, taking to the skies for an orientation flight in a Cessna 182. Thanks to retired Lt Col Yunt, these cadets were able to pilot the aircraft and gain valuable insight into potential aviation careers. AFJROTC's funded orientation flights are designed to unlock the potential of cadets, setting them up for success in both military and civilian aviation.

Today, our Beavercreek AFJROTC Cadets had the opportunity to present The Colors at the 9th Annual Rafi's Amigos Golf Outing at the Beavercreek Golf Club. It was another fantastic year dedicated to raising funds for an exclusive one-day Air Camp experience for AFJROTC Cadets from Beavercreek, Bellbrook, and Fairborn High Schools.

A very special thanks to the ongoing generosity of Rafi Rodriguez and our incredible community and business leaders, our Cadets have an amazing opportunity ahead! They’ll dive into hands-on STEM and aviation experiences that fuel passion for aerospace and leadership!

We’re deeply grateful to all the sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and our booster club for the very nice Yeti basket that raised a lot of money! Your commitment and support invests in the next generation of leaders and makes a lasting impact on our mission of "developing citizens of character."

Today, our cadets had the distinct privilege of presenting the Colors during the City of Beavercreek's Memorial Day service. Participating in this ceremony was a profound way for our young leaders to remember the sacrifices of our nation's heroes and understand the weight of the freedoms we enjoy today.

Thank you to the City of Beavercreek for inviting us to be a part of this beautiful remembrance.

Our cadets had the distinct pleasure of presenting the Colors at today’s Beavercreek High School 2026 Graduation Ceremony, held at the Wright State University Nutter Center.

Led by Cadet Jackson Reck as the American Flag Bearer, the exceptional detail also included Cadet Rylan Watson carrying the Ohio State Flag and Cadet Everett Mason bearing the U.S. Air Force Flag. Completing the disciplined formation, Cadets Harper Vega and Trevianna Friedmann served flawlessly as R***e Guards. 🇺🇸

We extend our highest praise to these cadets for their outstanding performance, and offer a final, heartfelt congratulations to our senior cadets and the entire BHS Class of 2026—best of luck in all your future endeavors! 👨‍🎓 🎓 👩‍🎓 🎓

Our Beavercreek AFJROTC was out and about yesterday placing 160 American flags around the Beavercreek community. Our unit has partnered with the Greene Optimist Club the past 6 years spreading patriotism with their Avenue of Flags program. 🇺🇸

The Avenue of Flags is the club’s primary fundraiser serving Beavercreek, Fairborn, and Xenia. With this program, volunteers place American flags on 10’ poles near the curb of subscribing local residences and businesses during various holidays. Our cadets help the club handle the delivery, installation, removal, and off-season storage. Proceeds from the subscriptions directly support youth programs, local charities, and scholarships in Greene County. Great job cadets!
