The annual siren test is tomorrow, September 8th at 11am. The emergency sirens within the 10-mile radius of the Beaver Valley Power Station will be activated. These outdoor warning sirens will sound for a steady 3 minutes.

After yesterday’s powerful storm the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department is offering to open up our doors to any Beaver Borough resident during the time it takes to restore power if you need a place to charge your phone, get ice, etc.

Storm Cleanup & Safety Update

Last night’s severe storm brought down trees, branches, and power lines throughout our area. Duquesne Light is actively working in Beaver Borough, while our Road Department, Police Department, and Fire Department continue working to secure hazardous areas and assist with cleanup efforts.

Please use extra caution while traveling or walking throughout the Borough today. Downed or low-hanging wires and damaged or loose tree branches may still be present. Always assume a downed wire is live and keep a safe distance.

To report a hazardous condition, please call the non-emergency line at 724-775-0880. For an immediate emergency, call 911.

A sincere thank you to our Road Department, Police Department, and Fire Department for their hard work since last night and their continued commitment to our community. We also thank our residents for their patience as cleanup and restoration efforts continue.

Please stay safe, look out for your neighbors, and give crews plenty of room to work.

⚠️CAUTION⚠️

Due to extreme severe weather there’s a lot of wires and trees down through Beaver. Use extreme caution and stay inside if possible. Treat all wires as live wires. Beaver firefighters are out and surveying the damage and blocking off anything we can.

The Beaver Volunteer Fire Department will be passing out candy again! Stop by our station at 165 Market Street! Firefighters will also be walking around town to assure public safety!

It may only be September, but it's never too early to start planning those costumes and trick-or-treat routes!

Trick or Treat in Beaver Borough will be held Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.

We're sharing the date early so families have plenty of time to plan ahead. Start thinking about those costumes, stock up on the candy and get ready for a fun evening in Beaver Borough!
