🚨 Beaver County Sheriff's Office Community Reminder 🚨

This weekend is shaping up to be a busy one in Beaver County! We are excited to welcome visitors and participants for both the ATV Jamboree and the Summer Smash Softball Tournament.

🏔️ ATV Jamboree
• 150+ attendees
• More than 17 organized rides throughout the weekend

🥎 Summer Smash Softball Tournament
• Approximately 40 teams
• Players, families, and spectators visiting our community

With these events bringing a large number of people to town, we ask everyone to be extra cautious while traveling around Beaver County. Summer is in full swing, and there are many children out enjoying their bikes, scooters, and outdoor activities—often until dark.

Please remember:
âś… Watch for children on bikes and scooters.
âś… Be alert for increased pedestrian traffic.
âś… Use caution around ATVs traveling to and from trail systems.
âś… Slow down in residential areas and near parks and event locations.
âś… Be patient and courteous as traffic may be heavier than usual.

We are proud to host these great events and welcome our visitors to Beaver County. Let's all do our part to keep our roads, trails, and neighborhoods safe so everyone can enjoy a fun and memorable weekend.

Have a safe weekend, and thank you for helping keep Beaver County a great place to live, work, and visit!

Beaver County Sheriff’s Office wants our youth to have a safe and enjoyable summer! Our priority will ALWAYS be safety of our kids! Please make sure you are informed and up to date with current legislative changes that are geared to better understand electric transportation such as bikes and scooters.

We encourage safety equipment, ie: helmets and other protective gear for anyone riding e-bikes, e-scooters, motorcycles and self propelled bicycles and other means of transportation other than “foot and leg travel”!

We have been, and will continue to be supportive of outdoor activities for the most valuable members of our communities, the kids! We will also take whatever steps necessary to protect them!

If you have further questions, please feel free to contact any of our patrol staff at BCSO, we will do everything we can to help inform you of new legislation and law. Our patrol staff will be fully informed of the current changes, and will do everything we can to help our communities understand what they mean.

Most important thing is not what laws or rules are passed, it’s your children’s safety!

Patrol deputies as well as the Sheriff can be reached by contacting Beaver County Dispatch, or scheduling an appointment through our administrative staff.

On September 9, 1999, Sgt. John Chambers, and his K9 partner Max, were shot while serving court orders in a remote area of western Beaver County. Sgt. Chambers was critically injured, and his loyal partner, K9 Max, tragically did not survive. 26 years later, on March 24, 2026, Sgt. Chambers (retired) was finally able to receive the Purple Heart Award on behalf of his partner during a banquet hosted by the Utah Chiefs of Police Association. The ceremony honored Utah’s injured and fallen law enforcement K9. Sheriff Cody Black and Chief Deputy Kiley Maycock, who were also involved in the 1999 incident, attended the ceremony alongside Sgt. Chambers and his wife, Sharlyn. We are deeply grateful to the Utah Chiefs of Police Association and all those who came together to honor our fallen partner.
