It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the Officers and Members of the Beaver Meadows Vol. Fire Company announce the passing of Nancy Jones, beloved wife of Vice President Kenneth Jones, on January 29, 2026.
Nancy was a cherished part of our fire family, often supporting the ladies auxiliary and the department. Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to Kenneth, his family, and friends during this difficult time.

Charge into Fire Safety: 3 Steps

Buy only listed products. When buying a product that uses a lithium-ion battery look for a safety certification mark such as UL, ETL, or CSA. This means it meets important safety standards.

Charge devices safely. Always use the cords that came with the product to charge. Follow the instructions from the manufacturer. Buy new chargers from the manufacturer or one that the manufacturer has approved. Charge your device on a hard surface. Don’t overcharge your device. Unplug it or remove the battery when it’s fully charged.

Recycle batteries responsibly. Don’t throw lithium-ion batteries in the trash or regular recycling bins because they could start a fire. Recycle your device or battery at a safe battery recycling location. Visit call2recycle.org to find a recycling spot near you.

The members of the Beaver Meadows Volunteer Fire Company will be having our pizza sale TODAY Friday, April 11th from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, and this will be our last lenten Pizza sale. Pizzas can be purchased baked or unbaked for $13.00. You can also add a mushroom, pepperoni, peppers, onion, or extra cheese topping for $3.00 more. To order, just call the Fire Company at (570) 459-2874 during the pizza sale hours (or leave a message). Pizzas MUST be picked up
at the Fire House located on 50 Church Street in Beaver Meadows. All proceeds from the sale will assist the fire company with equipment, maintenance and training cost
