For the past 12 years, I’ve had the honor of serving as Supervisor for North Sewickley Township.
Throughout my tenure we’ve worked through challenges, made steady improvements, and built a stronger foundation for the future. As I run for re-election on May 20th, I’m asking for your support to keep our Township moving forward.
When I first took office the Township was struggling financially, applying for tax anticipation loans to make ends meet. Applying my professional background in finance, I focused on making the necessary changes to put us on the path to recovery, finding practical ways to stretch taxpayer dollars and maximize every resource.
Today, those financial struggles are a distant memory. In fact we’ve shifted from taking on debt to putting our funds to work for us, generating thousands of dollars in interest income for continued improvements and equipment upgrades.
It was the same commitment to financial responsibility that led to the decision to renovate the Municipal Building and Police Department, rather than rebuilding as proposed by my predecessors. This practical approach delivered the needed upgrades while saving taxpayers a substantial amount of money.
But good leadership goes beyond making smart financial choices, and a well-run township depends on more than just its elected officials. It’s our employees who truly keep our community thriving. I believe in fostering strong relationships by creating a positive, supportive work environment. When morale is high, our team performs with confidence, delivers with professionalism, and remains firmly committed to the well-being of the Township and its residents.
The concept of teamwork has been at the heart of some of our most successful efforts, like moving the Sewer and Water Authority into the Municipal Building. This relocation not only saved taxpayer money, but also broke down barriers between departments, improving communication, streamlining operations, and creating a more effective and unified team.
Supporting the people who serve our community has always, and will continue to be a top priority. Even through times of financial disparity, I’ve remained a consistent advocate for the Fire Department to ensure they can continue to provide excellence as first responders.
I’m proud of the progress we’ve made together, and I look forward to the opportunity to keep serving North Sewickley Township and its residents.
