So all that power line work that was being done on Rt. 51 is now coming to a close...soon hopefully! The first of two power outages will occur within the township on May 30 - 31st then one approximately 4-6 weeks later. This is for the guys to work the lines and transition to the new Chippewa substation located out on Wallace Run Road.

If you have questions, please call First Energy. This is not a Chippewa Township sponsored outage, we don't have all the answers, we are just relaying the message.

Update on the Chippewa Township Volunteer Fire Department, Beaver Falls, PA Fireman's Carnival - The carnival will be a week earlier this year - July 13th - 18th with the Parade on Wednesday, July 15th at 6:00 pm and Fireworks on Saturday July 18th at 10:00 pm.

The Chippewa Township Fire Department would like to make the community aware of an unforeseen circumstance that has resulted in a schedule change for our annual Fireman’s Carnival.

📅 New 2026 Carnival Dates: July 13th – July 18th
🎉 Parade: Wednesday, July 15th at 6:00 PM
🎆 Fireworks: Saturday, July 18th at 10:00 PM

UPDATE: WE'VE HIRED! After a few days we received multiple qualified candidates and are pleased to say we have filled the position. If you applied, we will hold your resume for future reference in case another position opens.

We're Hiring!

We are currently looking for a front desk receptionist to work a couple days a week at the township office. 🚨🚨🚨We have heard reports of this in other areas and we have also seen a couple instances in our township - PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS BUILD FORTS OR PLAY NEAR THE ROADS. Our road department will be coming through attempting to widen the plowed areas and clearing more snow as it comes. Thank you and stay safe!🚨🚨🚨

Just a couple reminders for the winter storm this weekend....
1. BE SAFE!
2. The township has a strict ordinance that in the event of snow accumulation greater than 3", parking on any township streets is prohibited until all snow has been completely removed from the full width of the roadways. This allows for full visibility for our drivers and full clearing of the roadways. Street parking in a storm is unsafe and violators are subject to a $15 fine when ticketed by our Police Department or towing at owners expense when necessary.
3. Township roads DO NOT HAVE A DOUBLE YELLOW LINE DOWN THE MIDDLE - those are PENN DOT roads and we do not treat, plow, or salt those roads. Our crews will be out and working as fast and safely as possible.
