The LBF golf outing keeps getting better and better each year. Weather wise it was the best day of the whole year. Beaver Valley Country Club were fantastic hosts, it was so much fun to see everyone, especially Joe Ursida who has been laying low lately.
Our celebrity golfer this year Walt Harris was wonderful. He signed autographs and KDKA was on hand to interview him, he was great.
Our volunteers came through in usual fashion. A huge thank you to all who support us in any way. We cannot do what we do in our community without your help.
Next event will be The Circle of Achievement Dinner on September 12.
See you there

Greetings golfers. Tomorrow Friday May 29 is The LBF Golf Outing.
Listed is the agenda and facts about the event. Great weather is expected and we’re all ready to go.
Our celebrity golfer this year is former Pitt and Stanford Head Football Coach, Walt Harris.
Coach Harris background is in coaching QB’s and he is a fan of Coach Bruno and the way he handled his QB’s. We’re looking forward to a great day.
Twenty six foursomes will participate this year. Thank you to everyone who supports our foundation .

Reflecting on our Draft Event on April 22, the thing could not have happened without our volunteers.
A shout out goes to the Guys of 75’
( graduating class of BFHS 1975. When they heard we needed help they came through in usual Tiger Fashion.
Brod Hauser flew in from Atlanta to help. Ron Lupo drove in from Michigan. Kevin Hogue made the trek from Dayton. Local volunteers Tom and Kathy Wooley, Jim Campese, Mike Veon, all on hand to help.
Also a special thank you to 75’ classmate Tim Watson for his continued generous sponsorship.
When the guys of 75’ get together, it’s a tough team to beat.
I’m very proud to be part of the Guys of 75’

Our 2023 Beaver Falls Termites County Champions took their official spot at The Hall of Achievement. We at LBF are extremely proud of our young student athletes and encourage them to work alittle harder in school, be a good citizen, and continue to excel at whatever sport you chose. Remember,
Sound Body, Sound Mind.
An old saying that still rings true.

Time is getting short to sign up for the annual LBF Golf Outing on May 29. Still room available to play and support a great local non profit organization that sponsors great events for our community.
A first class Italian dinner and giveaways are a couple reasons to show up, and seeing old friends are the best part. The weather is always great. I can’t wait.
Use our website to sign up.

April has been a tough month for BF Tiger Nation. We suffered the loss of two inspirational and dedicated athletes of the past.
Tony Golmont class of 1961, and Tony Scrazzo class of 1978, both passed away in April.
Golmont, remembered as one of the very best two way football players his school ever produced. He was more than just a reliable receiver at right end, he was outstanding. Pairing with Tom Krzemienski at left end, they provided the best one two receivers combo in school history. Actually defensively he was even better. Accepting a football scholarship to NCState , he was a three year starter for the Wolfpack.
Scrazzo, a three year letterman at BF was remembered as one of the top lineman of his era. (1970’s). With his leadership the Tiger finished 1977 with an undefeated regular season, only to drop a playoff game to Penn Hills. He was selected as a MAC All Conference Player his senior year.
Tony went on to greatness as an interior lineman at Geneva. He was selected on Geneva’s top one hundred players of all time.
Condolences to the Golmont Family and the Scrazzo family.

On behalf of The LBF Board, we would like to thank everyone involved in our Draft Open House. It actually lived up to our expectations. We had close to two hundred visitors come down and joined in the fun. We are very encouraged by the attention we received from the community and hope to have more events similar to this one.
Thanks go out to Beaver County Tourism for co sponsoring and all our loyal volunteers.
Visit our museum open Mondays and Wednesdays 11-2. Saturdays 10-2.
