We have had a lot of progress at the 62nd Habitat house!! 🏡 The foundation was backfilled, drywall has been delivered, and so much more! Thank you to everyone that is making this house a home!!

Today we are celebrating an incredible milestone with one of our wonderful employees—20 years of service with Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County!

For the past two decades, Michele Sepella Dascanio has been the steady, dependable force behind so much of what we do. From managing our accounting, bills, mortgages, and countless administrative tasks, to stepping in whenever help is needed, her dedication has helped make our mission possible!

But her contributions go far beyond the office. If you've attended one of our events, volunteered on a build site, or joined us for a board meeting, there's a good chance you've enjoyed one of the delicious cookies she lovingly baked and shared. Those small acts of kindness reflect the caring spirit she brings to our organization every single day.

Thank you Michele, for 20 years of hard work and commitment! Your impact can be seen in every family we've served, every volunteer we've welcomed, and every success we've achieved along the way.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

At Habitat for Humanity, we are grateful for the freedoms their courage protects and for the strength of the communities we build together every day.

Today, we remember the heroes, support their families, and reflect on the true meaning of service and sacrifice.

Apparently at least four—one to hold the tape, one to read it, one to hold the step stool….and one to say, “That doesn’t look right, let me try!"

In all honesty, thanks to the guys who showed up today and helped out at the Habitat build site!! 🏡 ⚒️

**Update -- we want to thank everyone who reached out and responded, we have identified the individuals and worked with them to rectify the situation.**

🚨 We need your help in identifying these dumpster dumpers !!🚨

Well, these two individuals didn’t even try to hide it! In the middle of the day, they decided our Habitat dumpster was the perfect spot to part ways with their used couch. 🛋️

We get it—getting rid of furniture isn’t always easy. But unfortunately, when items are left in our dumpster, it ends up costing us money… and that’s money we’d much rather be using to build homes for families in our community.

The silver lining? This wasn’t exactly a low-profile "delivery"—we do have photos and video.

So we’re asking for a little community help:

No shaming—just hoping to connect with them and prevent this from continuing to happen and for them to come pick up the couch.

We are excited to share that we have passed the rough-in electrical inspection, looking forward to having power in the house! 💡 The gas supply has been hooked up as well!🏡 ⚒️

Today we’re celebrating TWO incredible families who officially completed their Financial Peace course as part of the Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County Homebuyers Program! 🎉🏡

This isn’t just a class — it’s a commitment to budgeting wisely, planning for the future, and building a strong financial foundation for homeownership. These two families showed great discipline and determination every step of the way!

We are so proud of the hard work they’ve put in to prepare for this next chapter. Homeownership isn’t just about building houses — it’s about building stability, confidence, and lasting change. 💙
