SB Community - There is a discrepancy on the Communication (cell) Tower Conditional Uses in the recently passed Zoning Ordinance #95. The issue involves the Agricultural/Residential Zoning District and whether cell towers should be permitted as a Conditional Use in this Zoning District. There will need to be a new Ordinance passed to either formally allow Communication (cell) Towers as a Conditional Use in the AR District or to revert back to the use chart used in Ordinance #87, which limits Communication (cell) towers to the Retail/Commercial and Industrial Zoning Districts. We are informing the public as an informational courtesy, and this will be a discussion on the March 25th Supervisors meeting agenda. A public hearing will be scheduled at a later date to formally adopt the new Ordinance.

This week's extreme cold temperatures will compromise the performance of our snow-melting materials. Due to road infrastructure limitations, we are unable to utilize straight salt or calcium chloride. Our alternative solution is a combination of salt, limestone chips, and limestone sand. Consequently, our roads may exhibit some icy patches. The process of melting and refreezing may result in isolated icy spots. If you notice such conditions, please contact the Road Department at 724-847-2066 and leave a message, or leave a message here. We will respond promptly to address the issue. Our team will continue to monitor the area to maintain optimal safety for all. Thank you for your support and remember to check on your neighbors in these extreme weather conditions.
