Beavercreek Elementary School

Beavercreek Elementary School We welcome open dialogue, diverse perspectives, and constructive conversations that support our mission of educating and empowering all students for success.

Facebook Rules of Engagement
At Oregon City School District (OCSD), we believe in fostering a respectful, inclusive, and engaging online community that reflects our commitment to learning, collaboration, and belonging. To maintain a safe and positive environment for all users, we ask that you follow these engagement guidelines when interacting with our social media pages:

Respectful Communication

We encourage thoughtful discussion and the sharing of ideas. However, posts or comments containing the following will be removed:
Language or content that is abusive, obscene, or inappropriate, including profanity, hate speech, or sexually explicit material. Discriminatory remarks based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other protected status. Personal attacks or derogatory comments about students, staff, or community members. Content that violates the privacy of individuals, including personal or confidential information. Constructive Participation
Stay on topic. Comments should relate to the original post to foster meaningful discussion. Avoid repetitive comments. Posting the same message multiple times disrupts engagement and will be removed. Cite sources when sharing information. Misinformation or unverified claims may be removed to maintain accuracy. Monitoring & Response
Our page administrators regularly review comments and messages and will do their best to respond promptly or direct inquiries to the appropriate district leader(s). Messages are checked during normal OCSD operating hours. Responses may be delayed on weekends, holidays, and school breaks. Enforcement & Accountability
Users who repeatedly violate these guidelines may be restricted or banned from the page. OCSD reserves the right to remove any content at any time that does not align with our commitment to a respectful and positive online environment. Legal Disclaimer
OCSD makes every effort to ensure that its social media platforms serve their intended purpose: to inform, engage, and support our school community. However, third-party users may post content that does not reflect the districtโ€™s values or policies. When identified, inappropriate content will be removed as promptly as possible, subject to technical limitations of the platform. We appreciate your participation in creating a welcoming and productive online space for our students, families, staff, and community. Thank you for being part of OCSD!

This week Beavercreek 5th Graders are celebrating their last full week of school by participating in a "5th Grade Spirit Week." Yesterday's theme was "Dress like a Teacher" and our students had a lot of fun with it! Mini-Mr. Roland even had the opportunity to do some teaching!

On Monday, the 3rd graders put on the Fifth Annual Trashion Show. We collect recyclables from families, and then the kids create fashion from them to wear as they walk the GREEN carpet. This event is a fun and creative way to bring awareness to the importance of REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!

Did you know? Every OCSD student a library that goes wherever they go?

Oregon City School District provides every student free access to Sora, a digital library app designed specifically for Kโ€“12 learners. Whether your student is a confident reader, still building their skills, or somewhere in between, Sora has something for them โ€” and the tools to help them grow.

Here's what's waiting for your family
๐Ÿ“š A library built for them: Ebooks, audiobooks, picture books, read-alongs, and graphic novels โ€” all hand-selected and age-appropriate for all our readers.
๐Ÿ  Access anywhere, anytime: Sora works on phones, tablets, and computers. Books are available 24/7 โ€” no library hours, no late fees, no lost books.
๐ŸŒŽ Books in their language: The app is available in 13 languages and includes bilingual titles and world language books, so every family can engage with reading in the language that works best for them.
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Built for every kind of reader: Adjustable text size, dyslexic-friendly fonts, high contrast display, and a read-aloud feature that highlights words as they're spoken โ€” Sora meets your student where they are.
๐Ÿ… Motivation built in: Daily reading goals, progress tracking, and achievement badges make reading fun and engaging!
๐Ÿ™๏ธ Two libraries in one: Through our partnership with Oregon City Public Library, your student's student library card also unlocks OCPL's digital collection inside Sora โ€” even more books, same app, no extra steps.

Select the Oregon City School District, log in with your student's Classlink, and start exploring today.

๐Ÿ“š Download Sora for free wherever you get your apps.

Let's talk about what "being here" actually does. ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Students who are here for it:

Feel more confident and engaged in learning
Have better career and college opportunities

AND here's how we support that goal: OCSD offers counseling services, mentorship programs, family resource support, and engaging learning experiences.

Show up. Level up. We're cheering for you every single day.

2025 Bond Update! Spring Break Brought More Progress! ๐Ÿ”จ

Our bond-funded projects are moving forward across our district.

โšพ๏ธ๐ŸฅŽOCHS's softball, and baseball fields are complete and ready for Pioneers to play ball! The multi-use field will soon be wrapping up, look for an invite to our ribbon cutting!

At Holcomb, careful abatement work was completed over spring breakโ€”an important step in preparing for construction. Meanwhile, permits are advancing for John McLoughlin, and CTE expansion work at OCHS is moving into early procurement.

Follow our 2025 Bond page or Instagram account for photos, and videos as work progresses!

Ms. B's Busy Bees have been busy engineers! Before Spring Break they read the book "Rosie Revere, Engineer" and made their own loop planes. They had a classroom launch contest to see whose plane went the farthest! Last week they connected their engineering skills to our new Science unit on life cycles. They have been caring for their baby chicks, learning how they develop, what their needs are, and they even built them a house!
