The Furnas County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for a full-time dispatch/jailer. This is a full-time position with benefits which include individual or family health insurance, retirement plan, and PTO. Applicants must be willing to work overnights, weekends, and holidays. Public Service Announcement

Today marks the opening day of rifle deer season. We’d like to remind everyone to practice proper safety while enjoying the outdoors and to be aware of the property you are on to avoid any trespassing issues.

Drivers are also encouraged to stay alert, as deer activity increases during this time, especially near highways and roadways.

Stay aware and stay safe throughout the entire hunting season.
