Cattail Marsh is the PERFECT place to walk on the wild side. 🌿🌾🐛🦆🐊🐢🐍🦎🍃

It’s very cool when we’re able to feature the work of one of our own employees in national and international publications. This shot of a purple gallinule strutting across the boardwalk was taken by our resident nature photographer, Kenyan (Ken) | Texas Photographer. You can find it on page 2 of this quarter’s BWD.

Ken has a keen eye for all things marsh, and if you’ve ever taken one of his tours you know he’s also a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Swing by the marsh this weekend and try your hand at some nature photography, or stop by to chat with Ken and our videographer Jason about the things they see out on the marsh. 💚

Some of the best views are under gray skies. 🩶

With all the dreary, soggy weather we’ve been having lately it’s still a wonder to stop and look around at Cattail Marsh. Raindrops softly landing on green leaves, turtles peeking out of shallow waters, and ripples spinning out into the marsh…this place really is Paradise.

Views like these give a whole different meaning to “SUNday Funday”.

The sunrises and sunsets at Cattail Marsh Wetlands are some of the most magical you can experience. When that light hits just right…🥰. Plus…you can miss some of the Texas heat and humidity if you time your visit early or later in the evening. ☀️

Take a step outside the hustle and bustle of your week and slow down at the marsh. 🌾🪾
