RISE Center for Independent Living for Independent Living is so excited to announce a new initiative made possible by Junior League of Beaumont and in collaboration with Beaumont Children's Museum and Beaumont Police!
For many children with sensory and developmental differences, "elopement" is a constant reality that creates significant barriers to community participation.
The Stats: In Texas, over 31,000 missing child reports are filed annually. For children with diverse needs, the risk of wandering into traffic or bodies of water is nearly 4 times higher than their peers.
RISE Center for Independent Living would like to introduce the S.A.F.E. at RISE Program, a preventative safety initiative designed to protect children with disabilities facing risks of wandering or car safety challenges.
This FREE Elopement and Safety Suite of physical barriers improves safety with travel or commute, with potential for tracking tech, and emergency identifiers to empower families for safer navigation and to live as independently as possible.
