The Fire Museum of Texas first opened in 1984 and has been endorsed by the State Firemen's & Fire Marshals' Association of Texas since 1986 as the official fire museum for the State of Texas. Housed in the historic 1927 Central Fire Station for the Beaumont Fire Department, the Fire Museum of Texas exhibits an extensive collection related to the history of fire departments in the state of Texas. Objects on exhibit date back to the mid-1800s. Hands on areas include a dress up area with bunker gear, the cab to a modern engine and a Fire Safety House.

🇺🇸 Honoring the Past. Inspiring the Future. 🇺🇸

Today, we had the honor of participating in the 5th Annual SETX 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. ❤️

We brought our Jr. Firefighters Obstacle Course to give our young men and women an opportunity to experience a little of what it takes to be a firefighter—and, hopefully, inspire the next generation of heroes who will one day carry on the tradition of serving and protecting our communities. 🚒👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

In honor of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, events like today remind us why it is so important to never forget.

We remember the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice, along with the police officers, EMS providers, and countless others who lost their lives that day.

Their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to others continue to inspire us.

Today, we honor their legacy by remembering those we lost, supporting those who continue to serve, and inspiring the next generation to answer the call.

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — We Will Never Forget

Twenty-five years later, we remember.

On September 11, 2001, our nation was forever changed. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost, families were forever changed, and countless heroes answered the call without knowing what they would face.

At the Fire Museum of Texas, we are honored to preserve a piece of that history.

Our 9/11 Memorial features artifacts from the World Trade Center, serving as a reminder of the lives lost, the courage displayed, and the incredible sacrifice made that day. At the center of our memorial, a light burns continuously—a symbol that their memory will never fade and their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Today, we remember the firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, military members, civilians, and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We remember the families who lost loved ones.
We remember the heroes who ran toward danger.
We remember the unity of a nation that stood together.

25 years later, we still remember.
We still honor.
We still carry their stories forward.

If your flag was damaged and can no longer be proudly displayed, you may bring it to the Fire Museum of Texas, located at 400 Walnut Street in Downtown Beaumont. We will ensure that your flag is respectfully and properly retired.

With the 25th anniversary of 9/11 approaching, let us take a moment to honor the brave men and women who served, those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the families who continue to carry their legacy.

Most importantly, let us honor and respect the symbol of the great nation they served. 🇺🇸
