MCAS Beaufort welcomed directors from Congresswoman Nancy Maceโ€™s office for a tour and series of briefings highlighting the installationโ€™s mission and capabilities.

The staff received briefings on the history, mission, and operations of MCAS Beaufort, Townsend Bombing Range, and Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 501 gaining insight into the F-35B Lightning II and the critical roles of Marine Aircraft Group 31 and VMFAT-501 in training and readiness.

Students with Elliott Elementary School conducted the Presidential Fitness Test at Laurel Bay as the program returns to Department of War Education Activity schools on military installations worldwide.

From push-ups to shuttle runs, students demonstrated teamwork, determination, and physical readiness while promoting healthy lifestyles and resilience. The renewed program supports fitness initiatives across 159 military-connected schools, helping prepare the next generation for success both inside and outside the classroom. ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ”ฅ
