Lady's Island St. Helena Fire District call statistics for August.

TBT! A controlled burn on Hunting Island got out of control about 10pm on March 2nd, 1981. After evacuating one cabin, 45 firefighters from , Lady's Island - St. Helena Fire District, and Fripp Island FD went on to save the cabins. City of Beaufort/Town of Port Royal Fire Department and Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services were on standby and American Red Cross of South Carolina supplied drinks for fire crews.

Good morning! ☀️ A Heat Advisory has been issued for coastal areas from the Savannah River to the Santee River until 7PM EDT. High temperatures are expected to reach the mid to upper 90s, with peak heat index values between 105°F and 110°F.
