Notice: A training exercise will be conducted at the Beaufort Airport, the evening of 7/31/25.

Carteret County Government shares this advisory from MCAS Cherry Point: Tonight, July 31, during the evening hours, joint military and civilian training will take place at Michael J. Smith Field in Beaufort. The exercise involves military police, fire and emergency services, military aircraft, and local law enforcement responding to a simulated aircraft mishap. Emergency vehicles will display lights and may use sirens. This training is closed to the public. See the attached news release for details.
