The Bear Creek First Responders will be joining us today at the New Dublin St Patrick's Day Parade! We will be handing out Lifesavers, encouraging all people to consider volunteering for their local EMS or FD! Come see us downtown!

Tonight, members of the Bear Creek Vol Fire Dept crisscrossed the village clearing out fire hydrants from the recent blizzard. It is a great help to the fire dept and the community when the local residents can keep them cleared out.

Tonight, the Fire Department practiced running the pumps and hose lines on the brush truck and the UTV, to sharpen skills & test gear, in anticipation of the upcoming spring wildfire season.

We want to thank Fr Simon of St Marys - Bear Creek Catholic Church for blessing our fire trucks this summer. The blessing occurred 2 months ago, but it is still worth sharing!

Our fire department is staffed by volunteers from the community. They are people who enjoy helping their neighbors. You too, could be a volunteer firefighter! Contact any officer on the department or stop by the Village Clerk to learn more. Training is paid for, and all your effort is paid for many times over by the satisfaction of helping people in their time of need.

We are proud to announce the commissioning of our brand-new fire engine! It is a Marion Body Works built Spartan Gladiator. We are immensely grateful to the village and the townships for their support in making this dream a reality.

The truck features a tandem axle rear end which allows for 2,180 gallons of on-board water storage. Other features include a 20-gallon foam tank, on-board generator, light tower, deck gun, a cascade system (for mobile air pack filling), front & rear suctions, and vastly increased storage capabilities.

A special thank you to Todd Prellwitz and the team at Marion Body Works for their outstanding commitment to service and for helping us build a truly custom engine that fits the needs of the communities we serve.
