🚨FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT🚨

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Grainger County and much of East Tennessee through late tonight.

🌧️ What to Expect:
• Heavy rainfall with rates of 1–3 inches per hour possible
• Flooding of creeks, streams, low-lying areas, and poor drainage locations
• Rapid rises in water levels may occur with little warning

⚠️ Potential Impacts:
• Flash flooding
• Water over roadways
• Flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas
• Hazardous travel conditions after dark

🚗 Safety Reminders:
• Never drive through flooded roadways — Turn Around, Don’t Drown
• Use caution if traveling tonight
• Monitor weather alerts and be prepared to act quickly if Flash Flood Warnings are issued
• Keep phones charged and have multiple ways to receive warnings

Bean Station Rescue will continue monitoring conditions throughout the evening. Please stay weather aware and use caution if you must travel.

As always stay safe and Dial 911 in the event of an emergency.

Rescue Squad Week
This week, we recognize the dedicated men and women of rescue squads across Tennessee and beyond who answer the call day and night — often without hesitation and without recognition.

From vehicle extrications and water rescues to search operations and disaster response, rescue squad personnel stand ready to serve their communities during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Thank you to every volunteer, career responder, family member, and supporter who makes this mission possible. Your commitment, sacrifice, and service do not go unnoticed.

Join us this week in honoring our rescue squads and the lifesaving work they do every single day.

Happy Mother's Day from the Bean Station Rescue Squad!
