Congratulations to Theo Concepcion and Terry Chen, who are named semifinalist in the 2027 national merit scholarship program based on their PS AT/NMSQT scores. The nationwide pool of semifinalist representing less than 1% of US high school seniors, includes the highest scoring entrants in each state. Congratulations to Theo and Terry! 🤩

🍎✨ Welcome to Beacon new teachers!

At yesterday’s New Teacher Orientation, Dr. Landahl welcomed the newest class of Beacon educators with two simple but powerful pieces of advice:

1️⃣ Don’t be afraid to ask for help. In Beacon, we believe in the power of teamwork. We support one another, learn from one another, and know that we are stronger together.

2️⃣ Never underestimate the power of inspiration. Look for the small moments and simple ways you can positively change the trajectory of a student’s education. Sometimes, one interaction, one encouraging word, or one person believing in a student can make all the difference.

Exciting News! Athletic Director, Mike Carofano announced the re-opening in the BHS pool!

The pool will reopen for community use this Friday, August 7th from 7:30am until 10:30am. The pool will also be open next week, August 10th until August 14th from 7:30am until 10:30am. Valid Community Pool Memberships are required for use of the pool.

Our Aquatics Director, Ms. Michelle Green, will be in contact with active pool members with an updated pool schedule and membership information, which includes pool rules and safety reminders as well as membership extension and expiration dates. If you have a question regarding your membership or if you are interested in a pool membership, email Michelle Green at [email protected].
