Join us at Howland Public Library on Thursday, October 22 at 12 PM for an informative presentation with AARP Foundation Tax-Aide! Learn about changes to federal and New York State taxes, tax breaks and credits you may be eligible for, and how filing a tax return could put money back in your pocket. You'll also learn about free tax preparation and filing services available to eligible taxpayers. Whether you're a senior, an individual, or a family looking to make the most of your tax return, this presentation will help you prepare for the upcoming tax season!

🚐 FREE Mobile Grocery is coming back to Beacon!

Access: Supports for Living’s Mobile Grocery will be at the Howland Public Library on Monday, October 26, offering FREE shelf-stable, fresh, and refrigerated food items.

Everyone is welcome to receive free groceries! No proof of income or Medicaid enrollment is required. Food availability may vary and quantities may be limited.

While you're there, Access team members can also provide a quick 5-minute screening to see if you may be eligible for additional support services, including help with housing, transportation, healthcare, and more.

The Great Give Back is back this fall with four ways to Give Back to our community!

We're celebrating The Great Give Back with several opportunities to help our neighbors! We're collecting food, warm clothing, handmade hats and scarves, and essentials for new parents. There are so many ways to come together and make a difference in our community!

Food Fight! Help Dutchess County beat Ulster County in a friendly competition to fight hunger! Drop off food donations through October 17.

Books for Babies: Help us welcome our youngest readers! We're collecting new infant socks, teething toys, and bibs for new parent kits through October 31.

Stitchin' for the Kitchen: Calling all knitters and crocheters! Donate handmade hats and scarves to benefit Fareground and local food pantries through November 20.

Beacon Rotary Club Coat, Hoodie & Boot Drive: Help keep our neighbors warm this winter! Drop off coats, hoodies, and boots in the library's collection bin through October 31.

📍 All donations can be dropped off at Howland Public Library.
